WITHERED Announces New Lineup

Atlanta-based death/grind/sludge metallers WITHERED have announced the addition of Beau Brandon (drums) and Mike Longoria (bass) to the group's ranks. According to a press release Brandon and Longoria "are accomplished musicians that we've known for a few years now. They both are the creative musical force behind Atlanta's WAITED. Mike has been filling in on bass duties for local and regional shows over the past few months and has been doing a phenomenal job. It's been great playing with him.

"We've been searching for Wes' [Kever] replacement since November but we didn't realize that our future drummer was right under our noses. After expressing our frustration in finding a drummer to fill Wes' shoes, Beau expressed interest. After a few more discussions, it came to light that Beau and Mike both wanted to be WITHERED's new rhythm section. They have been working together for the beter part of a decade and are a very tight unit. Mike is an accomplished guitar player/bassist of many years and Beau is one of Atlanta's most talented and hard-working drummers. Chris [Freeman; guitar/vocals] and I (Mike Thompson; guitar/vocals) are very excited about working with Mike and Beau. They've been good friends for the last three years and we're really looking forward to sharing WITHERED with them. Writing has already begun on our second full-length and it's going amazing. We hope to have it finished by the end of the summer."

WITHERED's new lineup will make its debut tonight (Thursday, March 1) at The Masquerade in Atlanta with UNLEASHED, KRISIUN, and BELPHEGOR.

WITHERED's full-length debut, "Memento Mori", was produced by Michael Green of LIGHT PUPIL DILATE fame and was released in September 2005 via Lifeforece Records. Paul Romano (TRIVIUM, MASTODON, DEAD TO FALL, DEATH BY STEREO) handled the graphic-design duties for the CD.
